Sometimes the moments in our hectic days get away from us.

But there's something that I don't want to ever give up: It's quality time, in the mornings, with Jesus.

Sometimes in the city, it seems like we all get trapped in a daze, like urban zombies.

I've been feeling like part of a machine, and I don't like it!

Today, I've resolved to take action, to break the trap of my own monotony and the negativity I feel creeping up inside of me.

No matter what my life situation, I can always resolve to be grateful. And gratitude is sweet as the colors of fall.

I'm entering a new season of my life, with a new job!

And it's off to the train yards for me, and that means steel-toed boots!

Have I worn steel-toed boots before? Nope! 

So my feet are embarking on a new adventure.

The roaring of the waves, the depths of it's power. 

I've been learning, I have learned, and I continue to learn.

Today, it's lake Michigan doing the teaching.
